Usui Reiki Energy Healing (with Solfeggio Harmonics!)

Reiki is a Japanese word that translates to “universal energy,” similar to the idea of Qi (or “chi”) in East Asian Medicine.  Reiki is not a religion.  It is ethical and safe.  In fact, Reiki was one of the first “alternative” therapies embraced by conventional medicine and incorporated into hospitals.  Reiki complements any and all spiritual traditions and faiths.  Erika Fayina Marie is a Traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master.   Today, there are many different Reiki traditions and energy healing practices (such as Quantum Touch and Hands-on Healing).  All types of energy work contribute to good and healing.  However, like in all things, some energy work has honored the tradition more closely than others, and is therefore recognized as more powerful.  As lineage holder of powerful Traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki, Erika is honored to help others heal with the sacred art and science of Traditional Usui Reiki.

For this class, participants may choose to sit on chairs or cushions.  Erika opens the class with a short healing visualization that was handed down to her from her own Master Teacher.  For the remaining 35-40 minutes, participants are invited to relax in meditation, prayer, or contemplation of their choosing, while Erika provides powerfully healing Usui Reiki Energy treatments to the group.  Solfeggio Harmonics, a six-tone scale in-tune with the natural frequencies of the Earth, is played in the background to promote relaxation, clarity, and creativity, and help re-attune everyone to healthier, grounded vibrations.  It may be the most healing class you’ve ever experienced!

Usui Reiki Energy Healing classes are a great way to experience a Usui Energy treatment without a significant financial investment.  They are offered almost exclusively at the Main Street location (within the “The Meditation Place”) and are typically offered prior to Community Acupuncture.  To learn more about Usui Reiki and what it means to become a traditional Usui Reiki practitioner, please visit Erika’s Traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Attunement page.

 Medical Qigong (+ Heart Qigong!)

Medical Qigong is a safe and gentle form of exercise that opens and restores circulation and flow through the entire physical and energetic body system.  It is a helpful complementary therapy for all diseases, injuries, and disorders, including cancer and autoimmunity.  It is also excellent for maintaining good health and preventing illness and injury.

During Medical Qigong, Erika F. Marie, LAc leads participants through a series of gentle, non-impact movements.  These movements facilitate flow through the channels of the body, encouraging harmony, balance, clarity, and flow.  All movements are performed slowly with internal focus, breath, and intention.  Most of Medical Qigong is performed in a standing position.  At “The Meditation Place,” chairs and cushions are available to those who cannot stand for extended periods of time.  When Medical Qigong is scheduled outdoors, at Roosevelt Park, participants are asked to bring their own chairs, if necessary.

When Medical Qigong is scheduled during the hours of 11 am – 1 pm, Erika also adds Heart Qigong to regular Medical Qigong exercises.  11 am – 1 pm is the time when our body naturally cycles its energy through the Heart, which means it is a great time to work on healing our #1 organ.  Heart Qigong is an uplifting and calming exercise beneficial to all of us, and perfect for those with high blood pressure, palpitations, anxiety, or any other cardiovascular condition.

Medical Qigong is offered at the Main Street location inside “The Meditation Place” during Winter months.  During Spring, Summer, and Fall, classes are held outside at Roosevelt Park.

All levels of ability, health, and experience are encouraged and welcome at Medical Qigong!  Call 720-593-1593 or visit Chiyu Center’s Meet-Up to sign up!
